I have frequented a few in Anchorage and it would really depend on just what your looking for. The best sushi place is in the little strip mall on the corner of Lake Otis & Abbot, though a lot of people also enjoy Pete’s Sushi just off C St. between Tudor & 36th (just bring a coat, they always keep it too cold there). KOBE has a very tasty and affordable lunch buffet that is Teppanyaki style and includes a small sushi bar, located on Arctic Blvd between 36th & Benson. There is a Benihana downtown if you are into the big franchises and is definitely fun with a group of four or more. My personal favorite overall would be Sushi Garden on Huffman. They have good sushi and also a great selection of other dishes with excellent Tempura items (be warned, it can be a tad pricey though).
